I am mainly a self-taught artist, and I?ve spent more than 30 years painting, 18 years as a full time artist. I had spent a short time in the atelier of Maria Esperanza Ruiz and in the atelier of Francisco Huitron. I explored many techniques like charcoal, pencils, pastel, acrylic, ink, oil, dry pastel, oil pastel, egg tempera, collage, linoleum engraves, and mixed techniques. I used to experiment with textures, printing with objects, little objects pasted to the painting, the tools used to apply the painting. For me the quality of materials is very important and I produce my own canvas.
