Born in Munich, Germany, in 1960, Karin Beer-Koller graduated from Ludwig-Maximillian University in 1989. She worked as a teacher, painted and held workshops until she and her family moved to California in 1995. During her three-year-stay in the Bay Area, she was a member of the San Francisco Women Artists Gallery. Karin Beer-Koller took classes at the UC Berkley and studied privately with painter Jean Hyson. Today, she lives in Southern California. Although not confined to one medium, she is currently focusing on oil painting. Her work is also featured in Hollywood Film Productions.
