I am interested in the relationship that we have with our environment, with the means that we use to delineate, enhance or suppress the natural world for our own convenience and consumption, and in the capacity that nature has to shake off our control.
Acknowledging the influence of Ashcan painter Reginald Marsh, Wiener says, "You look at the paintings, his narrative line through the piles of people on the beach at Coney Island, I’ve been seeing those lines ever since I was tall enough to ride the Cyclone.
