Moon-ja Won dedicates herself to the harmony of black and white, from which colors are perfectly extracted, rather than dreaming of a plane covered in color. Her passion clearly reveals the understanding that painting is the perfect reflection of a formative order and spirit. She uses ink, but she is not obscured beneath the ink. She uses paper, but she is not confined by the medium. And rather than becoming a background to her brushstrokes and shading, the paper exists confidently as another formative factor.
