The images have recently been described by a critic as “visceral” and “demanding,” which suggests the urgency about their subject matter, the oceans and seas, which face an unpredictable future.
The images combine the sinuous and sensual lines of the human body with creatures from the sea. Each is a beautiful example of the dichotomy between the natural world and mankind’s devastating effect on it. Man cannot ignore what feeds him socially, politically, economically, and most importantly, spiritually.
