    Shall we meet up soon to talk about ideas for the store for Secret Project Robot? I know everyone’s busy, but I am still into doing it. I have time this weekend and in general weekday evenings.  What do you say? My house, your house, etc.

    SECRET PROJECT: COZY CABIN CRAFTS
    Cool things about the installation:

        * Cozy, rustic, Appalachia, cabin/lodge feeling
        * Roaring fireplace with the warmth of a tv, logs, heater
        * Clothesline with merchandise (like clothes) hanging on it
        * Framed photos & paintings on walls and free-standing wall
        * Photo album, zines, postcards on coffee table
        * Basement-style collection of old furniture, second-generation items (tv, couch, chairs, etc…just this FEEL)
        * Afghans about, braided rug
        * Diorama through window – different kinds of scenery
        * Quilted fabric wood panelling
        * Mounted TROPHy heads (crocheted, fabric, paper mache. different parts of an animal. stuffed mittens)
        * Coffee table surrounded by seating
        * Shelving: hanging + mounted
        * Spiderweb for hanging merchandise
        * Swings and woven chair from swing installation…maybe a hammock in the yard?
        * Lights! hanging low from the ceiling – handmade and for sale
        * False wall with stretched fabric on one side + cut-out window with a shelf & baked goods
        * Interactive Applique wall
        * Hanging vines

    Things we need in order to make this awesome installation:

        * WOOD:  2x4s (for wall&windows), LOGS (for fireplace and seats), Plywood (shelving, etc)
        * FABRIC.  need donations.  contact White Box, Materials for the Arts and friends
        * Things with which to STUFF: batting, stuffing, foam
        * LIGHTING: fixtures, chords, bulbs
        * FURNITURE: couch (collaborate on upholstery), charis, rocking chair, foots stools, coffee table, ottoman
        * Eye hooks: industrial and regular (for swings, hanging shelves, and other hanging things)
        * TV and vcr/dvd
        * Rope
        * Thread: for sewing + embroidery
        * Hot Glue +hot glue gun
        * Staples +staple gun
        * Clothespins
        * Baked Goods

    Hello all!
    Saviour Scraps has been invited to create an installation for an artist’s store at Secret Project
    Robot in Williamsburg.  We, in turn, would love to invite you to propose whatever it is you
    make with your little fingers for the store.  All the descriptions and details are below, or 
    accessed on our website: http://www.saviourscraps.org.  We can’t wait to see your submissions! (and please forward this to anyone you think might be interested)

    about sunday – thinking of things to bring
    1. i got 10 colors of thread!!!
    2. our finished quilted wood grain wall panels
    3. reference material for mantle piece cutouts
    4. my drill (just in case we need it)
    5. good scissors
    6. needles? i’m not sure if there are any at the space

    i’m going to try to go the flea market tomorrow, but i can’t
    guarantee it.  to look for an old photo album for the Cabin Family Album.

    is there anything else we need?
    i forwarded the updated invoice to shabd – i guess she and katie have it

     Join us and our fabulous artists for a picnic and the opening of
     Saviour Scraps’ newest installation, Cabin Comforts!

     Opening: 3-9 pm Saturday, May 13.
     The exhibit/store will be open weekends through October!
