    China Auctions Go Digital

    China has joined the online auction world with the launch of its first auction house to sell fine art entirely through the Internet. The Hong Kong-based Atting House will hold its debut auction, offering 130 works from 66 artists, November 21 and 22. The collection was curated by professor Wang Lin of the Sichuan Fine Arts Academy, and a supporting exhibition curated by Lin runs through November at Atting House’s 10,000 square-foot gallery. The auction house said it plans to mount at least four major auctions a year, each accompanied by a supporting exhibition featuring no less than 100 works of art selected by expert curators.
