My idea consists of me manufacturing letters to
the past, to those who have passed away.  These letters are addressed
to prominent individuals who have left behind pieces of themselves to
this world.  My letters invite these phenomenal people to take a walk
with me down Broadway.  The first part of this series is dedicated to
Western Artists who have passed away.  In my installations, with the
help of “ready made” materials (skateboard, pajamas, baseball bat,
shoes) I am modernizing popular works of the masters such as Rembrandt,
Van Gogh, Da Vinci, and Michelangelo.  Based on the self-portraits and
works of masters I have created self-portraits of myself, and applied
them as stamps on the envelope installations I have created.

The second part of the series is dedicated to Japanese masters
(Hokusai, Hiroshige) who have inspired numerous generations of Western
artists.  Often, Japanese masters incorporated snowstorms, rain
showers, waterfalls, and fireworks into their landscape painting.
Drawing from the naturist paintings of Japanese masers I have
transformed there scenic landscapes into modern objects such nails, a
wood spool with black thread, a ball of yarn, and a hairbrush.  The
Japanese master Sharaku often created prints of Japanese celebrities of
the time, based on these prints I have created self portraits of myself
and used them as postage stamps for the installations.
