My paintings explore the relationship between past and present using
figurative and abstract imagery. I am currently focusing on subjects
that exhibit a sense of temporality and also appear timeless. I use
familiar or personal photographs and also found images as visual
sources. This is a starting point from where I can consider a
reconstruction of a moment in time based on archives, memory, and
history. I primarily use acrylic and oil paint on stretched canvas.
