Faye Phimister

This work is fundamentally based on the process of drawing through
stitching, pencil and oil paint.  They capture scenes relating to the
unconscious mind, giving them a voice and space to exist.  The
mergence and layering of the mediums create unity and this is the
essence of the work, to create a new revelation within a once hidden
image. Born in Scotland, Faye graduated from the Royal College of Art,
London in 2001.
