Eddie Martinez is a Brooklyn-based artist who has attracted rapid
attention over the past two years following solo-exhibitions at
ZeiherSmith, New York; and Galleri Loyal, Stockholm, Sweden. In both
his drawings and paintings, Martinez strives for harmony as his
instincts and imagination reassemble personalized images drawn from a
universe in discord. Martinez is also an accomplished curator and his
2006 exhibition Don’t Abandon the Ship, at Boston’s Alston Skirt
Gallery, was awarded the 2006 Best Gallery Group Show by AICA/New
England (International Association of Art Critics).
