    My
Nightflower  images were made by photographing New York City flower
shop windows late at night. Condensation formed on the windows in the
pre-dawn hours.  This formed a screen of lens-like water drops which
abstracted the view of the flower forms within.  In addition to the
dazzling sprays of abstract color, I am intrigued by the concept of the
transmutation of the flower shapes through the lenticular barrier, the
screen of water beads.  Most of the images were made in very cold
weather and, in some, the condensation is frozen to ice.
