Baron Charlie Lush, MA, FLCM Encouraged by a fellow Art History student
at St Andrews University, UK, artist and author Baron Charlie Lush took
up the brush in 2002. Since then, he has completed over three hundred
oil paintings. He was recently interviewed on UK television about his
large-scale political satire ‘The Iraq War at Home’ then on display at
the Glasgow School of Art. Inspired by the work of Edvard Munch, John
Brakewell Baldwin and Samuel Peploe, his larger canvases typically
contain elements of passion and solitude, reflective observation and
    vibrant colour. He
paints what he likeswhen he likes without being bound either by
convention or the urge to deny it. Consequently, his range of subject
matter and execution is both as vital and diverse as every experience
    derived from his art.
