painting is from the Pelican in Miami series. This series of work, all
oil on canvas, uses the pelican (egret) as a subject to place in a
variety of abstract interiors and exteriors made of bright, geometric
shapes. Each painting explores a new palette and composition, each
with the large exotic bird as a focus without necessarily being the
main element. These painting have been a source of much amusement and
intrigue to myself.
