Suvi Konttinen lives and works in Chicago and Helsinki. Konttinen’s
work is conscious; she reacts to the things happening around her. She
is currently working on a series of Story Paintings. Every painting
tells a story of a person down on his or her luck, in need of help –
the homeless, Katrina victims, Vietnam veterans, mentally ill,
disabled. The artist shares the profits with the person to help them
move forward in their lives.
