    Manal Abu-Shaheen

    Manal Abu-Shaheen (b. Beirut, 1982) is a Lebanese-American photographer currently living and working in Long Island City, NY. She moved from Lebanon to New York in 2000 and received a BA from Sarah Lawrence College in 2003. In 2011, she completed her MFA in Photography from the Yale School of Art. Her work has been in exhibitions at the Bronx Museum of the Arts, Nicole Klasbrun Project, Hunter College, Camera Club of New York, and Fashion Institute of Technology. She was a 2015 resident in the Bronx Museum’s Arist in the Marketplace Program. This spring her work will be featured in Queens Museum, Queens International 2016 Biennial. She is a faculty member at The City College of New York and The International Center of Photography.
